Most recently, in September of 2017, Hentzen acquired a new facility in Milwaukee to add to their fleet of state-of-the-art facilities scattered throughout North America. The addition of this facility, their “Faulkner Facility,” is necessary due to the increasing demand for Hentzen’s specialized powder coatings. This new facility will be dedicated to powder production, and is projected to increase efficiency and production ability by four times. The Faulkner Facility is projected to open its doors in August of 2018.
In addition to Hentzen’s new facility, several other notable achievements have been recently reached by the company. As Hentzen remains a leader in defensive coatings, the past five years have led to continued market expansion in general industrial, aerospace, and specialty products.
Adjustments within Hentzen’s management have also been a hot topic in the past few years. As Albert Hentzen passes leadership roles down to his sons, he assumes the title of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. As Hentzen’s third generation of family continues to run day-to-day operations, Steven Hentzen steps up into the role of President, as brother Timothy Hentzen assumes the role of Vice President and Chief Information Operator, and brother Mike Hentzen the role of Executive Vice President. Other additions to the management team include Vice President and General Manager Kirk Pigatto and Chief Financial Officer Dave Toepel.
As the third generation of the Hentzen family takes the reins, the fourth generation continues to make their presence known. With several college-aged sons and daughters of Mike, Tim, and Steve maintaining internships at the headquarters over the summer-months, Hentzen looks towards the future of its company.
With the company’s 100th anniversary within sight, Hentzen plans to maintain their standing as one of the largest family-owned coating companies in the world, as well as their status as a lead innovator in the field. With Hentzen’s focus on highly technical products and intimate customer service, this should be no challenge for the company.
VP and CIO Tim Hentzen looks to the future as he says, “Hentzen has seen the surface of moon and mars, coated airplanes and boats, seen every corner of the world—we cannot wait to see what we accomplish next.”
